Welcome to the entry submission system for the Utah Digital Media Arts Festival!  

Teachers from Utah High Schools will be able to register for an account at this site and submit entries to the festival online.

Previous years accounts may still work. If not create a new account please.

Only submissions uploaded from teacher accounts will be considered. If you are a student please ask your teacher to upload for you.

Each high school can submit four entries in each category.

Each student can submit one piece in each of the Swag Categories (Shirt, Sticker) and one piece in two of the General Categories


From your login you will be able to keep track of what has been submitted.  Most entries will be images files that will easily upload, but for some of the entries there will be other requirements:

  • Animations and Videos: Upload the video to a hosting site (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) and submit the URL in the correct category.
  • Websites: Upload to a hosting service and submit the URL in the Web Design Category
  • Games/Interactive Media: Upload a video presentation to a hosting site (Youtube, Vimeo, etc). Presentation should be student playing/ using the game/ interactive media. Video should be no more than 4 minutes. Source files or completed package should also be uploaded for verification. Use dropbox, one drive, google drive, or other easily accesible cloud storage. Make sure sharing settings are set for easy access.

Categories

  • Sticker Design - Create a sticker to promote the festival. All festival participants will receive a sticker with the winning design
  • T-Shirt Design - Create a single-color t-shirt design to promote the festival. All festival attendees receive the winning t-shirt
  • Digital Video Production - Plan, film, and edit a video that tells a story.
  • Digital Video Production - Non-Fiction - Plan, film, and edit a video that informs or educates. These may include; Public Service Announcements, News Stories, Broadcast Highlights, Commercials, Etc.
  • Web Design - Create a well designed website.
  • Stop Motion Animation - Use stop motion techniques to create an animated film. Films may include the use of clay, legos, action figures, armatures, whiteboards, paper cut outs, etc.
  • 2D Animation - Use traditional or digital hand-drawn animation techniques to create an animation
  • 3D Animation - Animate a scene using a 3D Software Package
  • Vector Graphics - Create an original vector illustration, logo, or info-graphic
  • Raster Graphics - Create an original rasterized illustration or drawing
  • 3D Graphics – Original 3D models and renders created in a 3D modeling program
  • Digital Photography – Original student photograph
  • Composite Photography - Create digital photo manipulations and composite
  • Interactive Media and Game Design - Original game or interactive experience
  • Digital Music Production - Create, record and edit an original musical composition
  • Digital Audio Production - Create, record, and edit an original audio production. These may include podcasts, public service announcements, commercials, etc
  • Experimental Media - Create an original piece of media that transcends the other categories. These may include, demo-reels, motion graphics, mixed media, etc
